Things I don't want to forget:
-The time when I was little, when we set up this system with two jars. One jar was filled with marbles and the other was empty. Whenever I did something good/nice/right etc. she would tell me to go put a marble in the other jar. And whenever I had completely filled up the other jar, she took my to TCBY
-The many times she took us to the movie theatre and I always got sweet tarts (because I thought that was the only thing I could get... 15 years later I found out that we could get whatever we wanted)
-The time when I was little (and maybe it was my birthday, I don't remember), one of my siblings woke me up from my nap and told me to go downstairs, and my mom had made dinner just for me
-The time when I was in High School and I had had a long day of football practice, and I came home took a two hour nap and when I came upstairs she had me dinner and a milkshake (it was awesome!)
-Anytime she made me cookies
-The times when she told me I did a great job cleaning the garage in Dallas
-The times when she took me to my soccer games 45 minutes away at like 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday
-The times when she would tell me "no, you can't stay over at Preston's three nights in a row"
-The times she took us to Wet-n-Wild and six flags
-The time we drove to Ferndale and her not letting me drink anything (apparently I have a really small bladder)
-Or the times when we drove to South Carolina, and her getting us all a "Tetris/Walkman's" (that was the greatest invention of our time)
-The times she told me that she wasn't a maid, and to make my own lunch
-The times when she told me, "unless you are bleeding profusely don't come complaining to me" (note: I was probably 5 or 6 when she told me this. I didn't figure out the definition of profusely probably until late middle school)
-The times I would go into her office and wait for her to get off the phone to see if I could play with my friends
-The times she would want me to get her a Turtle Creek from Wild About Harry's

She's my mom. She'll always be mom. Though I have a birth-mother somewhere out there, she could never replace my mom. She has taught me countless lessons. She is the best mother that I could ever ask for. I love her. She's my mom. Her name is Melodye.
