HK (7)

Post Christmas Bonanza!

Okay, so maybe it's not really bonanza like but I'm still here. So I'm going to answer some common questions that have been asked by my folks and friends so far:

1. What are you doing?
Really nothing. Just blowing money on stuff for myself (ipods, new iphones, man purses, scarves,etc.). Actually I've been doing a bunch of random stuff, like going and looking around HK, and hanging out with some mainland Chinese students, and eating some great food.

2. What kind of food?
Mostly the stereotypical stuff like; dogs, cats, small children... I've actually had some great Turkish food while I've been here. Had some Chinese food the other day. Don't know exactly what I ate but it was good. I had some great dumplings tonight that were pretty good.

3. Now that you've been there for a few days, what do you think about it?
I think the biggest thing is, life over here isn't really any different than life in the States. (Well duh...). I mean, I know it isn't anything like countries in Africa or South America or anything like that, but for the most part, things are very normal. I guess what I mean by normal is that, the things that they (Grace Campus Staff) do here are very similar to things that they would've been doing in the States. (What would they be doing?) Building relationships, investing into college students. Practically played out that looks like: grabbing lunch/coffee/movie/etc. with them and just investing into them. One of the main differences I guess is that there is just a little bit higher population density of Asians than say Americans/white people...

4. So are you going to move over there?
Still waiting on the Lord on that one...

So that's all the questions that I can think of... if you think of any other ones that I didn't cover. Leave a comment.

(So after re-reading this blog I just realized that I basically.... interviewed myself... wow, I'm cool, not really... that's a joke for all you people that can't read sarcasm as well as others...)
