Loving People is inefficient
So I stumbled across this expression, phrase, comment the other day. I don't know exactly who i was listening to or what exactly I was doing but I do know this. It really made complete sense to me. Let me explain these thoughts.
In the world that we live in, we are constantly looking for things to be faster, quicker, more efficient and to optimize time. For instance, we are constantly trying to free up our own personal time so that we have the freedom to do what we really want. (Whatever that maybe... I don't know..). Or another example, if you look at all the major corporations and businesses, the new thing is, "GO GREEN", which is just a shorter version of saying, lets make things more efficient and faster so that we can be better at what we do. So what does this have to do with Loving People?
I think that in order to truly love people, it requires time. It requires investment. I mean, to really love someone, isn't it something that is continual? I guess what I mean, is that if you really want to invest into someone, to really love someone (not in just a moment, but for an extended amount of time), it requires time. (Something that I am not really a good steward of).
Thus that is why I say, "Loving People is inefficient". It takes a lot of time out of your life to love people.
