Everlasting Devotion.

You laugh. But it's us. This is what we do with Him all the time.

I have been learning about His everlasting devotion to me. In that I do not deserve to be pursued. I do not deserve so many things, but really just how much I do not deserve Him. But what can we say to this right? If God is for us then who can be against us? He who did not even spare His own son but gave him up for us all, how will He not also with him graciously gives us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died- more than that, who was raised- who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? (Romans 8.31-5)

What could stop Him from pursuing us? What could stop Him from pursuing me. NOTHING!

Amazing. Humbling.

we may from our earthly perspective be so undeserving... but at the same time, God made us knowing perfectly our faults and knowing perfectly how much He loved us. He created us this way. so instead of having the view that we are so undeserving, we should be remembering how God designed us to be loved. He created us to be imperfect, yet made perfect in Christ.
it's more like a movie where the girl keeps running away and insisting that she doesn't deserve love. and the guy-in-pursuit is just trying to convince her how beautiful and complete she is in his eyes.
