Center

You have sung this song before haven't you?:

Christ be the center of our lives
Be the place we fix our eyes
Be the center of our lives
[Center by Charlie Hall]

I was thinking about this concept of what it means to be at the center of something. So of course the first thing that you I is you look up the definition of 'center' in my dictionary (which is on my computer dashboard because I refer to it a lot, and I do mean a lot) Here's what I found:

center |ˈsentər|
[1] a point at which an activity or quality is at its most intense and from which it spreads
[2] the point on which an activity or process is focused
[3] the most important place in the respect specified

[1] The center where Jesus is. From which His life flows out of my body.

[2] The center where Jesus is. THE focus. Not a focus. But THE (definite article) focus of my life. It is through that center, where my thoughts should flow to. Where my thoughts are processed through. It's as if my thoughts should be 'run through Him'. If He is at the center my thoughts should flow toward Him

[3] The center where Jesus is. The MOST important place. When looking at your life you look at the most important place (your heart) and that is where Jesus should be.

I really have no idea, if any of that made sense but I wanted to just briefly write about this concept of something being at the center of my life.

John, what is at the center of your life right now? It's really easy to just sing the song, that Christ is at the center of your life, but does your life, do your actions, does your heart really live/show that? If it's not, what are the strongholds, the distractions that are leading you away from Him?
